No sleep again!

Up all night again. I've been up for good since about 7:30am. D is sleeping away in the bed. We have a bunch of stuff to do today and my morning burst of energy is gone. I can't complain though, because he's been on the go all week and could really use the sleep.

On the other hand, I did have a wonderful dinner out with the girls last night in Fort Greene, Brooklyn at another amazing Middle Eastern place. Somehow, we managed to forget to order falafel, but it was great anyway and super cheap- $60 for 5 of us. It was BYOB, but still insanely cheap. We ended the night with a half hour discussion about Edward Cullen and how even though we adore him (and dream of having his babies), perhaps a wee go with Carlisle Cullen would be in order.

Progress

I have made some progess! This is what the crib looks like when it's not full of other baby stuff. The bedding has not arrived yet, so I just put the mattress pad/ protector on there for now.

Dresser/hutch combo

I have the shelves practically filled already and I still have a bunch of books to put up there. I'm sure once the baby gets here there will be a ton more stuffed animals and other things to put up.

I also put the bouncy chair together. It's so freaking adorable. I love the giraffe.

Close up!

Up all night

Someone needs to inform WB that punching me in the bladder to keep me up all night, it not the way to ensure the nursery gets done this weekend. It is 7am and I am wide awake and exhausted at the same time. I suppose I had better get used to this.

On the other hand, we did manage to get pictures and the spice rack up in the kitchen and D has most of a new floor in the bathroom, which is much nicer looking than the white tile that is there now.

The bowling ball

I figured I had to post at least one belly pic. I probably should have zoomed in so there was more belly and less wall, but I'm noot getting up again. Also, the pics are a teeny bit crooked because I was swaying and trying to stay upright while taking them.

So there is the bowling ball I am now hauling around everyday. 36 weeks down, 4 to go!

The "Before" pics

So this is the current disaster, also known as the nursery. Everything is over to one side because the hutch was attached to the dresser today, so it all needed to be out of the way. That crib holds a lot of stuff!

Tomorrow, the plan is to get the things for the changing table sorted out and get what needs to be washed all together. I've decided against washing most of the clothes we have, since we won't know what will fit.

Looking at it in the current state, I am unsure if we can even fit a glider in there, but I'm not going to stress about that now. The chair you see is not staying. It is there so I can work in there without collapsing into a heap on the floor.

I'll see if I can get some better angles in the next couple of days, as some of that stuff gets where it is supposed to be.

Well, here I am

I figured I start this so I can AW my nursery (if it ever gets finished!) and the wee babe when it decides to make an appearance. I've never done this and I am not a very good writer (or speller!) so we'll see how it goes.

I managed to get the Pack N Play together all by myself last night without throwing my back out in the process.
